MY AMERICAN ADVENTURE !

On the 15th March, I set out on my American Adventure !
Alone in the United States for two weeks, recording, writing and performing. It was a lonely journey, but so very educational and one which i felt i must take. I met so many people and learned so much in such a short space of time. I will definitely do it all again.
My adventure began in Boston Massachusetts, with songwriting and recording at 12th Note Studios with Felix Mwangi and Craig Eleazer. We had a lot of fun messing about in the studio. I now have three songs in pre-production for my second album. We only had two full days to get everything done and I'm really pleased with the results !

I then flew straight to New York to begin the next part of my adventure. The Indie Soul Mixer was great !
It was my first year attending, and I was made to feel so welcome by everybody. There was excitement in the air as we waited for everything to kick-off. There were some great performances by Independent Arists from far and wide and I was the only artist who had traveled in from London to perform and it was well worth it.  There were speakers from the music industry with advice for us 'independents': Fiona Bloom & Bob Davis both had real treasure to share. We all exchanged contacts and all in all I had a wonderful time. I was interviewed by Danny Brooking from IBS Radio at the Sip Lounge which was the smallest venue I have ever sang in, it was cute and cosy ! The following evening I sang at Rendezvous@The Shrine hosted by Marko Nobles. After three radio interviews and three live shows, I then went sightseeing around New York City and honestly, I think I'm smitten...
